About Michael Finn
Michael Finn is a wedding and portrait photographer, who operates his business from his home in Aylesbury, Tallaght, Dublin 24. Born in Dublin, he has been a professional photographer since 1986. A three time winner of Kodak awards for his wedding portraiture, Michael has won numerous diamond, gold, silver and bronze awards in the Irish Professional Photographers Association Awards programme and from the British based Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
In recent years he has become widely recognized as one of the country’s top wildlife photographers and was twice short-listed in the prestigious ESB Environmental Photography Awards, winning second place in the digital category in 2002. Michael has received more than 50 awards for his wildlife photography in the last three years culminating in Best Single Image (Wildlife) 2009.
His work regularly appears in books and magazines and wildlife websites. Michael's first book of wildlife photographs: “Wild In My Country…..a photographic journey” was published in late 2007. He has also had several critically acclaimed exhibitions of his work, and is currently planning a second book of his wildlife photographs along with an exhibition of photos from the book.
